Study of Covid-period excess mortality in 125 countries
CORRELATION authors Denis G. Rancourt, PhD, Joseph Hickey, PhD and Christian Linard, PhD conducted an extensive study of excess mortality around the world.
Their 521-page report, entitled “Spatiotemporal variation of excess all-cause mortality in the world (125 countries) during the Covid period 2020-2023 regarding socio economic factors and public-health and medical interventions”, was published online by CORRELATION on July 19, 2024.
The report contains a detailed examination of excess all-cause mortality during the Covid period in 125 countries comprising approximately 35% of the world’s population.
The authors argue that the large excess all-cause mortality of the Covid period could not have been caused by a viral respiratory disease. From the Summary of the report:
“The spatiotemporal variations in national excess all-cause mortality rates allow us to conclude that the Covid-period (2020-2023) excess all-cause mortality in the world is incompatible with a pandemic viral respiratory disease as a primary cause of death. This hypothesis, although believed to be supported by testing campaigns, should be abandoned.
[…]
We describe plausible mechanisms and argue that the three primary causes of death associated with the excess all-cause mortality during (and after) the Covid period are:
· Biological (including psychological) stress from mandates such as lockdowns and associated socio-economic structural changes
· Non-COVID-19-vaccine medical interventions such as mechanical ventilators and drugs (including denial of treatment with antibiotics)
· COVID-19 vaccine injection rollouts, including repeated rollouts on the same populations”

Medical Hypothesis: Respiratory epidemics and pandemics without viral transmission
Denis Rancourt has written a ground-breaking scientific report entitled “Medical Hypothesis: Respiratory epidemics and pandemics without viral transmission”. The report was published by CORRELATION on December 2, 2024, and is available on preprints.org.
Dr. Rancourt’s report advances that the likelihood of fatal transmissionless pneumonias in the elderly and persons with comorbidities increases significantly with environmental changes or assaults that cause biological stress, and that this is sufficient to cause epidemics, pandemics and seasonal mortality, always targeting the frail and sick.
On this basis, Rancourt argues that transmissionless pneumonia caused by biological stress from imposed governmental and institutional “measures” is sufficient to explain the large excess mortality observed around the world during the Covid period.

Do the unvaccinated disproportionately harm the vaccinated in a respiratory pandemic?
An incorrect mathematical modeling construct was introduced into the scientific literature by Fisman et al. in an April 2022 article in the journal CMAJ and used to falsely advance that unvaccinated people disproportionately harm vaccinated people via respiratory disease transmission.
The incorrect construct, which is called ψ (“Psi”), was repeated by Fisman et al. in an April 2024 article in PLOS ONE, and has been cited in a number of epidemiological papers and reviews. Fisman et al.’s claims have also been the subject of debate in Canada’s Parliament.
The false claims based on the ψ construct have a demonstrated potential to cause harm by encouraging overly aggressive public health policies and interventions.
CORRELATION authors Denis Rancourt, PhD and Joseph Hickey, PhD have repeatedly attempted to correct the scientific record, including via public letters to journal editors, publishing scientific papers on the matter, and in media interviews.
Their latest and updated attempt to directly correct the scientific literature is the new article entitled “Do the unvaccinated disproportionately harm the vaccinated in a respiratory pandemic?”. The paper was posted online as a preprint in December 2024 and has since been submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.
